The Rover K-Series engine
For much of the 1990s and early 2000s, the Rover K-Series was the Caterham engine. It came in 1.4, 1.6 and 1.8-litre forms and was fitted to everything from the Classic to the Superlight, and to the ferocious R500.
The K-Series is a light, all-alloy engine that loves to rev, and it suits the Seven perfectly. Many owners think a good K-Series car is as much fun as a modern one, for a lot less money.
