The S3 chassis

The S3 is the original Caterham chassis size, descended from the Lotus Seven Series 3, and the one most people picture when they think of a Seven. It’s narrow, compact and light, which is a big part of what makes the car feel so alive.

The most common question we get is whether you’ll fit. You might be surprised: Callum is 6'2" and fits in an S3. Lowered floors make a big difference to legroom and visibility, so check whether the car you’re looking at has them.
