This Supersport R started its life as a Caterham owned Supersport press car and was one of the very first SV chassis produced. It featured in a number of articles before being sold to its first private owner who had Caterham upgrade it to full mechanical Superlight R300 specification. As such it now features the fabled roller barrel throttle bodies, as well as Caterhams close ratio 6 speed gearbox, dry sump oil system and limited slip differential.
The K-Series Superlight R300 is widely regarded as the best model ever to be released by Caterham Cars. Its power, grip, balance, responsiveness and soundtrack all contribute to its overall perfection. Though this Supersport R SV lacks the carbon fibre accessories, it delivers exactly the same beautiful driving experience.
Having now covered just under 26,800 miles, this is very nicely cared for example and will make a superb companion to any petrol head looking to enjoy the best that Caterham had to offer.
