Caterham Supersport 196

This highly tuned K-Series Supersport is an incredibly well specified Caterham which will excel in almost all environments and has been prepared to an exceptionally high standard.

The 1.8l DVA K-series engine in the front of this Seven is quoted to provide 196bhp and a power to wieght ratio of over 370bhp per tonne. It has been paired to a AP racing clutch, 5 speed type-9 gearbox and a Quaife 3.9 limited slip differential, with which a perfect launch can propel the ocupant from 0-60 in a little under 3.9 seconds, whilst also having the legs to enjoy cruising in a relaxed manor.

Whilst this car retains the well tried and tested Caterham Bilstein springs and dampers, the hubs and stub axles have been uprated and fitted with JWM quad piston callipers for unbelieveable stopping power, thanks also in part to the 13″ compomotive super light-weight alloys.

Though this Seven no longer resembles any form of “factory standard model”, it is an incredible cocktail of a years and years of intense development across all aspects of a Caterhams’ DNA. Though it might not the the ultimate in terms of power or performance, it’s good, really, really good.
