The Superlight R400 originally came to the market in the the early 2000’s with the Rover K-Series engine. The model number indicated the BHP per tonne, and the Superlight range came with most of Caterhams uprated components as standard, including lots of Carbon Fibre and their famous 6 speed close ratio gearbox.

In 2007, Caterham moved across to Ford engines, and these are really the true prequel the now incredibly popular 420R. The engine, drive-train and even the chassis are barely changed since this period.

This larger (SV) chassis’d version offers both performance and comfort, thanks to its squashy yet supportive GT Leather seats and full compliment of weather equipment. Having been wrapped in very striking Hulk Green 3m Vinyl, it really looks the part as well.
