Caterham Superlight R300 SV

The K-Series Superlight R300 is widely regarded as the best model ever to be released by Caterham Cars. Its power, grip, balance, responsiveness and soundtrack all contribute to its overall perfection.

This SV chassis example has been with its most recent owner for the last 7 years, and in that time it has been touring all over Europe, visiting some of the most spectacular places and roads Europe has to offer.

Along the way this car has picked up a little wear and tear and is being sold as a light project to whomever would like the chance to restore this awesome car to its former glory and perhaps add a personal touch or two along the way. The car will still come freshly serviced and MOT’d, and has also just had some minor engine refresh work. So mechanically this car is sound and ready to once again hit the open road, it could really just do with some love.

At the minimum, this car will really want a new pair of rear wings and a new boot cover, otherwise, everything else is optional based on the buyers perspective. The chassis is clean and straight, with minimal chipping in the powder coating and next to no surface rust. The engine, gearbox and differential are all sweet and driving nicely. The paintwork is a little chippy, with some light blistering but acceptable for many. The wheels and tyres are in pretty good order but aren’t perfect. The dashboard could be made to look significantly better with just some new buttons and switches. Lots of little things which will add up to making this car lovely again.
