Caterham Superlight 20 #14

The Superlight 20 was a very limited run of special Sevens to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the original Superlight.

The Superlight was a tremendous success for Caterham, and it is a model which has remained highly coveted ever since. Its principle was in taking the original Colin Chapman ethos of “adding lightness” to the most extreme levels yet. These Superlights also came with all of Caterhams trick bits, including high revving, high lift cam engines, lightened flywheels, limited slip differentials and adjustable suspension.

The Superlight 20 was an excellent, modern day equivalent of those famous Sevens, and absolutely hit the mark in terms of its style, feel and performance.

Only 20 of these unique cars were made, and all of them came in bare aluminium with full carbon trim, allowing them to just sneak under the 500kg mark. Some have been painted over time, but this true original has been kept in absolutely magnificent condition. As per many, this edition has had the engine upgraded to 310 spec, adding that top end power that original Superlights were so well known for, and with just a smidge over 7000 miles on the clock makes for a very collectable Caterham.
