Caterham Roadsport 180

The Roadsport 180 was the prequil to the 360S, matching the 360 in almost all mechanical specifications. These were part of the Caterham range from 2007 through to 2016 when the models were renamed to their current format. Earlier versions of these cars were known as Roadsport 175’s, which had a metal inlet plenham and cone airfilter, before Caterham moved to cold air induction.

The Roadsport spec, is very much equivelant to todays “S” range, designed to be refinded and comfortable, bais towards road use. The “180” part of the name stands for the engines power output.

These standard 2.0L Duratecs make for superb powerplants in Sevens, providing massive amounts of lazy torque. This torque makes them ideal long distance road cars, with plenty of power on tap at any part of the rev range for a quick overtake, or just entertaining burst of acceleration. But with all that torque, these engines remain quiet and refined, with excellent drivability.

This bright Orange Roadsport is an exceptional example, with incredible attention to detail paid by its former owners. Well specified, reliable, comfortable, immaculate and fast… What more could you ask for?
