Caterham Roadsport 140

The Roadsport was, as the name suggested, Caterham’s road bias version of the Seven.

Powered by the 1.6l Ford Sigma engine, these were the most usable and quite possibly the all-round most enjoyable Sevens ever. Both versions of this origianl iteration of the Sigma engine provide excellent drivability, with a smooth building of torque and power as the revs climb. The 140bhp version of this Sigma engine, known as the Supersport, revs higher than the standard 125bhp version, and pulls a litte bit harder as it does so.

This 140bhp version is a car which has been lovingly looked after throughout its life, and that really shows in its presentation. Although it has been used, it has been kept excellently clean, and regularly serviced. A combination which tends to yeild the best examples of these magnificent cars.
