Caterham HPC (250bhp Duratec conversion)

The HPC model stood for “High Performance Course”. Caterham felt at the time that the performance of these cars was so great they had a moral responsibility to ensure those who bought them were prepared. So they enrolled all new owners of these cars on a course to teach them how to manage the cars abilities.

This HPC started its life in 1993 as 2.0L Vauxhall Red Top, which would have produced around 175bhp at the time. Since then, it has had a long and interesting life, all of which is documented in a comprehensive file (see images!) which comes with the car. In 2014, with 69,000 miles covered, the car underwent an extensive rebuild, when it became the car it is today. It has covered 4,600 miles since.

This HPC now closely resembles a Duratec Superlight R500! So it provides an incredible opportunity to own an enormously high performance vehicle at a very attractive price.
