Caterham 420S SV

The 420 is Caterham’s most powerful naturally aspirated model, providing an enormous 210bhp from it’s 2L Ford Duratec engine, and an ample supply of low-down torque.

This 420 has been specified on the larger Series 5 chassis (SV), and with Caterham’s “S” package, which makes this one of the most usable high-performance Sevens you can buy. In addition to the usual specifications you might expect to find on “S” package cars, there are some nice drivers extras found on this example. Firstly, the 13″ alloys. Although the 15″ alloys might fill the arches better, if it’s driving feel you are after, 13’s are a must. The other is a limited slip differential. This differential is again a big plus to the driving purist, producing more traction at the rear of the car and enabling the driver more control at the limit.
