The 420R is widely regarded as Caterham’s best overall model from their current range. Its naturally-aspirated 2.0L Duratec engine provides awesome power, sharp throttle response and excellent drivability to go with Caterham’s superb Seven chassis.
This 420 is just about as focused and jaw droppingly beautiful as you could imagine. Built on the smaller Series 3 chassis, with no windscreen, full superlight rollcage, uprated suspension and 620 nosecone, this 420R means business!
After just a few hundred miles, it’s original owner decided that Caterham’s standard dash instruments just weren’t up to scratch, and totally replaced the lot with an exceptionally well thought out and executed new dashboard. He also removed the standard Caterham Titan plated limited slip differential and replaced it with a Quaife built ATB differential, significantly cutting down on unwanted transmission noises.
Now, having covered just over 700 miles in total, this breathtaking example is looking for a new home to love and cherish as much as it’s first.
