The 160 model was a fantastic modern-day harp back to the Sevens of old, with small 80 horsepower engines, reduced grip from skinny steel wheel and a classic live axle feel.
For this, Caterham turned to Suzuki who provided a fantastic 660cc turbo charged, three-cylinder engine, complete with 5 speed gearbox and live axle. This package when dropped into the lightweight Seven chassis made for a thrilling little sports car, which moves about underneath you, but doesn’t get you in trouble for accidently achieving ridiculous speeds.
This beautifully styled example has been made to look like one of Caterham “Supersprint” examples. With its Brooklands Aeroscreen, and vintage graphics and individual rear lights. The body has been wrapped in Marina Blue, with an old english white noseband and grille, and matching steel wheels.
This two owner car has covered just 1700 miles since it was registerd in 2021, and is in near perfect condition.
