The 360R is a model which effectively replaced Caterham’s Supersport R, and Superlight R300 model before that.

The 360 represents Caterham’s entry point to the 2.0L Ford Duratec engine, producing 180bhp. The power delivered by this engine is very smooth and linear, with considerably more lower and mid-range torque than the 1.6 Sigma engines below it in Caterham’s range. Unlike its bigger brothers, however, the 360 is not a very cammy engine, with max performance all dealt with below 7000rpm.

The “R” package attached to this car means the car comes complete with Caterham’s slightly more focused range of options. A light-weight flywheel and limited slip differential come as standard, which between them considerably alter the car’s feel, making it livelier, more responsive under throttle, and a little more tail-end happy.

This Series 3 example has been painted in Caterham’s Crystalline White, which was the original three stage pearl paint used on Caterham’s famous Superlight R500 demonstrator which stunned everyone when it appeared on Top Gear back in 2012. On this particular example, it has been adorned in gloss black decals and 15" Orcus alloys, ultimately creating a very sleek and stylish look.

With only one owner and just 3,000 miles on the clock, this a very tidy and low mileage example, which will save you a bundle compared to a new order.
