One of the best examples of an R400 we've seen. This car has been lovingly cared for, with no expense spared, for the entirety of its 14 year life. Registered in 2012, its first owner — we're told a former aircraft engineer — built the car with an unprecedented attention to detail, and only drove it 4,500 miles in its first nine years of life.

Bought by its second owner in 2021, the car has undergone extensive improvements through a Premier Power F225 upgrade in 2022. Again, no expense was spared, including the carbon airbox and a 'cat-in-the-can' exhaust. This gives a clean exhaust run, with the catalytic convertor cunningly hidden within the actual exhaust can. Tidy _and_ legal!

Last dyno'd in 2024, the car produces 225hp on 95-octane fuel, and at 560kg it means this R400 has a genuine 400hp/tonne power-to-weight ratio! Sitting on 13" Compomotive rims, with a Tracsport LSD, this car also gets that power down effectively. If the carbon airbox is swapped for a foam version, it produces over 230hp and a gains a meaningful torque increase to over 170 ftlb - R500 beating.

The beauty of the Premier Power modification is a useful torque range, exceeding a standard R400/420r engine with 90% torque at 4,500 rpm, with max torque at 5,500 - 6,500 rpm. Coupled up with the evenly-spaced gears of the 6 speed gearbox, the wave of torque can be ridden without maxing the engine out.

Other Premier Power improvements include a combined oil pressure _and_ temperature gauge, an oil/water heat exchanger that both raises oil temperature faster from cold start and maintains a better balance; a metal coolant tank; an ultra-lightweight flywheel and clutch and the glorious ball-head throttle pedal, smooth cable run and cam to the individual throttle bodies.

Comes complete with full hood, half hood, Softbits for Sevens shower cap and tunnel touring bag.

This car has had an incredible life so far, and is ready for a loving new home.
