Caterham Sprint Special

This Seven can only be described as a wolf in sheep’s clothing. It began its life as a 1400cc K-Series on a race chassis In 1995, and is understood to have been owned by the same keeper for the entirety of its life. It left the UK in 2003 and moved to the Isle of Man, where it was developed into the ballistic missile it is today.

Unfortunately, this car has come to us as a bereavement sale, and sadly there is no history to tell us exactly what has been done, or when. We understand that the car was developed for use in sprinting, which would make sense given its immense spec and minimal mileage. Having checked the car over, we are happy that this Seven is in good mechanical condition, with no significant damage or corrosion.

Following a test drive it was absolutely clear that this is an incredibly honed machine with ultimate performance at its core. Rivaling the perfromace we would expect to see from a K-Series R500, it is our opinion the powerplant in this car is producing circa 230bhp. This is of course an estimate only based on experience, as there is no engine spec or dyno available with this car.

Given there is no history with this Caterham we are offering it to the market as project. We advise that this is an extremely high-performance Seven and at £18,995 it represents incredible value for money, however as a project it is offered to the market without preparation or warranty.

If what you are looking for is performance per pound, or quite simply the fastest Caterham you can find, this very well could be it!
