The 420R Race Car is the panicle of Caterham’s Motorsport ladder. 

These 2.0L racers and fitted with uprated suspension, sequential gearboxes and full roll Superlight roll cages. They are stripped out, extreme, and blisteringly fast around a circuit. 

This particular example has been raced in the CSCC Magnificent Sevens race series, which host 45 minute endurance races and allow any and all specification of Seven. This car has been fitted with a Quaife Sequential gearbox, complete with geartronics flat shift system, and an additional fuel swirl pot in the boot to increase fuel capacity.
It was also fitted with a new 185bhp 2.0L Duratec race engine in 2025, which has covered an estimated 300 miles. 

This then is a well honed racing machine, which would make for a superb and incredibly reliable trackday toy or race car.
